 Slovakia has many beautiful places. Liptov itself, the hear of our
ountry, is an excellent tip for summer relaxation. It offers many tourist attractions and is also a strategically great place for longer trips.
• Hiking or cycling (in the summertime, you can rent bicycles in the resorts and set out to beautiful trips in Jánska dolina, Žiarska kotlina, Jasná...)
• A visit to Tanzania in Jasná (climbing frames in the trees – 34 platforms and 95 obstacles in about 4 to 7 meters above ground). We recommend: Find out in due time the opening hours (e.g. June: 10:00-16:00, July and August: 9:00-18:00 etx.)/
• A pony farm in Pavčina Lehota (near Jasná) - an excellent experience for children, for a couple of hours, you can entrust them to professionals who will take excellent care of them and will take them onto an untraditional trip on ponies.
• Archeological outdoor museum (Archeoskanzen) of Celtic culture in Havránok – near Liptovská Mara (possible to couple it with a sail on Liptovská Mara). We recommend: take liquids with you if you are going to this museum in hot weather, since there are no drinks on sale in this facility.
• An outdoor museum of liptov village in Pribylina – adults as well as children will be surprised how people once lived in the Liptov region. Just as much as the fact that once such life was even in villages that you will no longer find in maps, since they remained a part of the water bed of Liptovská Mara.
• Vlkolínec – an UNESCO historical site, a village situated high in the mountains, above a valley and surrounded by forests. Fresh air, no smog... We recommend: on the way, stop by the goral “koliba” (shepherd's hut) in Donovaly, which specializes in Slovak specialties.
• Demänovská cave of freedom and Demänovská ice cave.
To visit both in one day is somewhat difficult. It is ideal to visit
them one by one. Recommendation: eventually visit them on rainy days, they will cover you in beautifully...
• Alternative tips: Svätý kríž (precious articular wooden church), rafting, the complex of water slalom in Liptovský Mikuláš, paragliding.
• Entertainment and bathing: Aquapark Tatralandia, Western town, Aquapark Bešeňová, summer lido in Liptovský Ján, Liptovská Mara – sailing, water sports and mainly – a cruise sail on ,,the sea of Liptov“.
• Further trips (less than an hour from Liptov): Oravský castle, outdoor museum of village of Orava in Brestová, mountain lakes of Roháče, hiking and walks in High Tatras, Horehronie – the railway of Čierny Hron in Čierny balog and Dobročský rainforest, Spišský castle, Spišská Kapitula.
Favorites for those who choose vacations in cabins and cottages
are the calm locales and the contact with nature, visiting the valleys, degusting sheep cheese and above all the scent of fire at the evening barbecue. Families with children will receive suite houses with a higher standard of accommodation.
Do not underestimate the power of your expectations, vacation is a precious time. If you are a demanding customer, ask for more. When all requirements you have provided us for the vacation are met, you will relax perfectly...
