Specializing magazines from abroad focusing on human vitality and the influence of the environment on humans already regularly feature articles on geomancy, places of extraordinary power and beneficial influence on the human organism. Knowledge of people about such places reaches far back into prehistory. Their physical nature remains unaltered even after thousands of years. What changes is the means of discovering and clarifying the forces, there are attempts for a geophysical exploration of the locales using top of the art measuring technology.
In Austria (and other countries) more and more locales known as “diviner’s learning path” come to the foreground, for example in Großschönau in the area of Waldviertel (Lower Austria, near the Czech border). Prospects claim to tourists that "in these places it is really easy to find your long-lost abilities” and you can also complete specialized courses in “bioenergetical training center".
In the Czech Republic, a notable geomantic locale is the Křížový hill near the village of Ruda in Morava, which is where the Stations of the Cross path leads. While walking across it, the known resonance principle applies, which opens people’s hearts and souls. People who sink into this atmosphere receive not only the deep spiritual experiences, but also the strengthening of their work- or sickness-devastated bodies.
Let’s try to find similar geomantic places even in Slovakia. Today, we are introducing the village of Špania Dolina, situated 10km north of Banská Bystrica. Its establishment is connected to the mining of metals in the local ore deposit. It evolved into its current form from a medieval mining settlement. The beginnings of mining reach back to eneolit – 2000 to 2400 years B.C. The medieval mining of copper is documented by the findings of numerous stone tools for processing the ore and also fragments of pottery.

Medieval mining in this area is known since the 10th or 11th century. In 1494, the entire mining area was acquired by the Thurzo-fugger trading company which created, for its time, a unique early-capitalistic copper company. Today, the structural and cultural monuments are situated in the preserve of folklore architecture, which includes almost its entire area.

The assembly and other technical monuments are accessed by the Small educational mining circuit. Its route connects places of positive influence on humans given by the composition of ores, metals and tectonic ruptures. The energy influencing the humans can, in their bodies, evoke balance. A person leaving such “electromagnetic centers” is leaving regenerated, relaxed, satisfied, calm and balanced.
For example in the locale of Fajtlová, even an hour-long stay, according to the recommendation of REIKI lectors, can heal sicknesses like rheumatism, joint inflammation, pancreas, illness of airways, cardio-vascular diseases, but even stress, migraines, potency and infertility.
The total length of the circuit is 4.5 km and has 10 stops with informational panels and text in the Slovak and English languages. Attractions are also the hand-painted reproductions of the historical mining equipment. A visit to Špania Dolina will surely enlighten the body and soul and will contribute to learning about a important period of our history.
